A recent study has found people who keep fit live longer. Obesity, high blood pressure and diabetes were taken into account. In other words, subjects with these factors who kept fit lived longer than those with the factor and were sedentary. Thirty minutes of moderate activity five times a week was indicated as the minimum necessary exercise. It also means thin people and those in good health need to exercise.
Protection comes from recent exercise so keep activity up as you age.
